Frequently Asked Questions

All payments are taken at the end of class. This includes the class fee and any additional costs for clay, firing, and glazing.

The class fee covers studio access, wheel time, tools, and expert instruction. Clay, firing, and glazing are additional costs to keep pricing flexible based on what you create.

Clay costs approximately $3-5 per kilogram. Most beginners use 1-2kg per session, so expect around $3-15 per class. You only pay for what you use.

Firing costs are based on piece size. Small items (cups, bowls) cost $5-10 to fire. Glazing adds $3-8 per piece depending on complexity. We'll discuss options during class.

Just bring yourself and clothes you don't mind getting dirty! We have spare aprons, but you are encouraged to bring your own. Closed-toe shoes are recommended for safety.

After throwing, pieces need to dry (1-2 weeks), then bisque fire (1 week), glaze, and final fire (1 week). Total time is typically 3-4 weeks from creation to completion.
